Roc Partners is a leading alternative investment manager specialising in private equity in the Asia Pacific region.

Investment Philosophy.

Investment Philosophy – Developing long term trusted partnerships that create value for our clients is Roc Partners number one objective. We offer a highly differentiated approach that is not bound by rigid allocations to country, sector or style. We take a true long term “through the cycle” approach and do not believe in deploying capital for the sake of investing. If the market environment isn’t suitable or the opportunities simply aren’t compelling enough, we are comfortable being patient and waiting for the right opportunity to present itself.

This results in a very nimble approach that has consistently delivered positive outcomes for our clients.

Roc Partners operate with a strong focus on risk management and governance, including representation on fund advisory committees and company board seats for material fund investments and co-investments respectively. We strongly believe that organisational culture is key to ensuring the effectiveness of our investment philosophy. Roc Partners has a flat team structure with staff from multi-lingual, diverse backgrounds and skill sets.

Separate Accounts

Separately Managed Accounts – Roc Partners has been providing bespoke Separately Managed Account (SMA) solutions to clients since 2003. Developing long term trusted partnerships that create value for our clients is Roc Partners number one objective. Therefore allocations to region, country and investment type may be different between clients as we tailor programs to suit the idiosyncratic risk tolerances and return and cash flow objectives of our clients.

Significant Investor Visa

Significant Investor Visa (SIV) – Roc Partners has established Roc Private Equity VCLP (the “Fund”), a Venture Capital Limited Partnership (“VCLP”) designed specifically for Significant Investor Visa (“SIV”) applicants. The Fund’s aim is to provide investors with attractive risk-adjusted returns while ensuring compliance with the SIV program’s Complying Investment Framework.
The SIV-complying Fund will seek to invest in later stage growth capital and small to mid-cap private equity buyout transactions rather than venture capital. This investment strategy is a continuation of the Roc Partners core Australian investment strategy. SIV applicants benefit from the governance and risk controls instilled within Roc Partners from its 20 year history of investing on behalf of leading Australian institutions. The Fund will be limited in size so as to retain its ability to invest in attractive SIV-complying investments.
